A big thank you to those Cadets and Senior Members who took time to participated in the South St. Paul Memorial Day Parade and Service. We were well represented by our top-notch Color Guard, banner bearing Cadets, sparkly shiny CAP Vans and drivers, and a large devoted Senior Flight with an excellent DI. C/Col Hoffman kept most of the Senior stepping smartly and on the same foot.
Thanks also to the 130th Squadron who joined us again with their own Color Guard and van making Civil Air Patrol the largest part of the parade. It is an honor to be a part of this annual Squadron event. We were then treated to lunch provided to all who participated at the VFW and were able to chat with, and thank many Veterans.
I hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day and took time in your own way to remember why we have been so richly blessed by our Creator in this nation. Please remember those who have served us in the past, those who are serving now, and those who have given the last full precious measure of their devotion to this great country and the people they loved. We owe them a debt that most will not be able to repay, but we will remain forever grateful. Do not forget their sacrifices, and do not let your children forget them.
Semper Vigilance,
Amy Pahr, 1Lt -DCFC
St. Paul Composite Squadron

Keep it moving, please, even if you've seen it before.

    It is the
    VETERAN,
    not the preacher,
who has given us freedom of religion.

    It is
    the VETERAN,
    not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.

    It is
    the VETERAN,
    not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.

    It is
    the VETERAN,
    not the campus organizer,
who has given us freedom to assemble.

    It is
    the VETERAN,
    not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.

    It is
    the VETERAN,
    not the politician,
Who has given us the right to vote.

    It is the
    VETERAN who
    salutes the Flag,

    It is the
    VETERAN who
    serves under the Flag,

ETERNAL REST GRANT THEM O LORD, AND LET PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON THEM.
