Color Guard Twins Game         (top)

The Color Guard was honored to open the June 16 Twins game at the new stadium.
After navigating heavy traffic and making many "moves", we arrived and were escorted to the field for orientation then to practice right next to the locker rooms.
The Color Guard team walked on to centerfield while the National Anthem was sung and played by a large high school band and the stadium flag was raised by an Honor Veteran from the National Guard. It was beautiful and the team did an excellent job.
Each event holds its challenges and this was no different. Cadet Hannigan commanded the team and it went off without a hitch.
We were then brought to our seats and stayed for a little bit to enjoy the new stadium. We chose to leave early to avoid the traffic. Hopefully we will have another opportunity to present the Colors at a Twins Game.
We were given a pretty thorough orientation of the stadium by our assigned interns. This year we have two, and things went very smoothly. Thanks to Cadets Tunell, Neimann, Hannigan and Freeman for committing to this detail, and Lt. Neimann for driving.
