The St. Paul Squadron participated in a First Aid, Adult/Infant CPR and AED class at the Marathon refinery in St. Paul Park. We completed the class and took the mandatory test after a DVD, personal instruction and hands-on practice.

Having so many new members trained in this important skill is a credit to the squadron's readiness and level of committment. I want to thank Mike Hannigan and his team for making this a great training event. He made the cadets and senior members comfortable while he taught us the skills and more importantly, the reason we need them. Each lesson came with real life examples of why we needed to learn the particular skill.

I hope we can do this again next year with even more squadron members. Having these skills can make the difference between life and death when confronted with such a situation.

Have a safe Thanksgiving and I will see everyone December 3rd, at our meeting.
