Now is the time to begin planning the 2010 Minnesota Leadership Academy, which will be held October 21-24, 2010. For the first time, there will be three schools at the Academy, one for each of the first three phases of the Cadet Program. Phase I: Great Start Program (GSP) formerly known as Airman Training School Phase II: Non-Commissioned Officer School (NCOS) Phase III: Basic Cadet Officers Course (BCOC) Applications are currently being taken for the following positions: GSP:GSP Training Officer (Senior Member) GSP Cadet Commander NCOS: BCOC: Cadet applicants should be Phase IV cadets at the time of application. This team will review the Integrated Leadership Program curriculum, set the schedules, and procure the instructors to help meet the requirements laid out in the curriculum and provide the best possible experience for the students attending the academy. To apply, please mail the following items to Minnesota Wing HQ in c/o Cadet Programs-MLA. All applications must be postmarked by Tuesday, June 1, 2010. 1. A memo of application, stating the position you are applying for, with all of your contact information. The memo should also have the signature of your commander, signifying knowledge and approval of your application.* 2. A resume listing your Civil Air Patrol activities to date, along with other qualifications that will you feel will assist you in carrying out the tasks required for the position you are applying for. 3. An outline of your expectations and goals for the school you are applying for. *Memo must be in proper Civil Air Patrol format If you have any questions, I will be at Wing Conference this weekend, or you can e-mail with any questions that you have.
